Ballumbie Castle is situated next to the city of Dundee, which offers so many things to see and do making this one of the best golf holiday destinations in Scotland.
Ballumbie Castle is a beautiful Scottish parkland golf course, set in 150 acres of sweeping terrain and offering fantastic countryside views.
An enjoyable course that tests all facets of your game, most clubs in the bag will be called in to action. However you may not need to grab the driver on every tee, especially for the first six holes of the course where position is more important than distance.
The most challenging section of this great layout is the three-hole stretch starting from the 10th, known locally as Ballumbie’s Amen Corner! Here you begin the back nine with a dogleg right par four featuring a burn running next to the fairway, a sloping bank to the right and a pond to the left of the green. This is followed by the 11th and 12th holes, consecutive par threes that challenge require accuracy and perfect distance control to avoid the bunkers and water hazards that lie in wait.
